Vaishno Devi trip 2021

My father and grandfather needed a break from all their work stress, so we decided to go to Jammu and Kashmir for the trip because the options were minimal.

We landed at simara airport the next afternoon at 1:20, from the plane we saw our factory about 700m from the airport.

We went into the factory for a short tour while my dad and grandpa decided to stay for a quick meeting with the manager. The way to my grandpa’s sister’s house in Birgunj was not so good, and it was full of potholes.

The following day we left for Patna in a Hyundai Creta and Nissan Kicks. We crossed the bridge in between and then we had to go across lots of bad roads until we reached our factory that makes food for farm animals. We had a nice lunch there until our car from Patna arrived. It was a Hyundai Xcent and Toyota Innova Crysta. We kept the baggage in the Hyundai and sent it to Patna with the drivers; about 20 minutes later, we left in the Crysta. The road was quite bumpy, but it was a pleasant experience.

After reaching Patna, we went to my grandma’s eldest brother’s house in an apartment. My grandparents stayed there while we 4 stayed at my uncle’s house for the night. The next day we went to my mom’s sister’s house. She has a nine-year-old Golden Retriever and three kids. One of them is also nine years old and loves playing Grand Theft Auto; we played the game on his ps5 and had a thrilling experience. We left about an hour later, from there we picked up my mom and then we went to my grandma’s youngest brother’s house, which is a bit far from the rest of the city. Over there, they have a little four-month-old husky named Kiwi. She’s adorable! We came to the DMD apartment later in the night after doing a bit of rakhi. The following day we left the house at 9:30 am. We reached the airport and caught the flight just in time, to Delhi! We landed at Indira Gandhi International Airport Delhi about an hour and 20 minutes later; after that, we went to Jammu and settled into the Radisson Blu Jammu!

The next day we drove to Katra, we reached the helipad for Vaishno Devi Temple. A few minutes later, I found myself on a helicopter right next to the pilot, 1200m above the ground, trying to cross a mountain to get to the other side, which is the temple. We had a wonderful darshan and enjoyed it a lot. On the way down, though, it started raining. We walked 3 kilometers to the helipad from the temple. As soon as we reached the helipad, it got cloudy. So we took three horses and headed down, one for my grandma and Laksh, the other for my grandfather, and the third for my dad, who wanted to walk down with us. We were told it was 20 kilometers, but we used stairs half the way, so it was only 16.5 km for us. That’s a lot too!
The following day, we left on a plane to Srinagar. The whole flight, we had a picturesque view of Kashmir. When my grandparents went in January, they got a meter of snow, but what we got was 25 Degrees Celsius. We got into a taxi and drove to the Radisson Srinagar, which was like a 4-star hotel. There were only 70 rooms, and they were kind of okay, but they took over an hour to get an extra bed when only like ten other rooms were occupied. So they didn’t have much staff. Military trucks were driving around the whole city in convoys, and soldiers scattered around the city. Pakistan borders Jammu and Kashmir, and India and Pakistan don’t have a perfect history, which scared us quite a lot. In the evening, we went on Srinagar’s famous Shikara Boat ride, like a canoe. The view was astonishing. The whole experience was beautiful, especially when they were selling quality walls ice cream in another shikara. We went to dal lake and even dressed up in traditional Kashmiri clothes. The next day we drove to this hill station called Gulmarg.
When my grandparents went there, their taxi could barely make it on the route. They had to take a pickup truck equipped with snow chains. We got a pretty much regular road the whole way, but on some places, a bit of the road was dug up because the road was slightly broken. We went up and got on to the cable car to go to the 1st phase. It was windy, but the fabulous view made up for it. When my grandparents went, they got much snow on phase 1 and stayed there; they didn’t even have to go to Phase 2 because it was 2 meters already on Phase 1. When we reached the line for Phase 2, the person said it would take 2 hours to get into the cable car because the queue was very long.
We went back down, and when we were down, we drove to the Khyber Resort, where we had a wonderful North Indian lunch before going to the hotel. We even tried this native drink called Kashmiri Kava. It tasted pretty good! We drove to a handicraft shop not far from Radisson. We bought some things there, then we went to Radisson and got all of our luggage before checking out and into Vivanta by Taj. The next day we went to the main market area of Srinagar, where we bought some more things. We even went to the Lal Chowk.

We arrived in Delhi the next afternoon at the airport and got a Crysta Taxi. We reached our fantastic hotel called Taj Palace! A few minutes later, my parents and grandparents left for shopping and returned at 9:00 pm.
The following day, we left the hotel in a Mercedes MPV Van. We went to a few shops and bought some shoes and shirts and coats for my eldest sister’s wedding in December. We had a lot of fun, but we also had to shop a lot, which was boring. We didn’t come back to Kathmandu directly. We took a plane to Gorakhpur, then drove to Bhairawa and took a plane from there because there was way too much price difference. The driver was driving at 125 km/ph on a two-lane Indian highway. We reached the border and then took a plane back to Kathmandu!

Story of Santa Claus

Have you ever wondered about the Story of Santa Claus? Let me tell you how it all began… So there was this monk called St. Nicholas. He was born in Myra (in modern days Turkey). St. Nicholas was an extensively smart child he started reading the Bible at the age of five!! St. Nicholas was a very kind and generous man. He used to help poor people by giving lots of his money and valuable things. He used to donate food to help people living in poverty. Once he rescued three sisters from their father, as he was selling them as slaves. People really appreciated him for his good deeds. When St. Nicholas died, people believed that there were angels around his soul to guide him to heaven. From that day people continued to give gifts to each other. Many believed that after his death he still lived in the North Pole and he rides on a sleigh pulled by reindeers. So this is how the whole story of Santa Claus originated. Merry Christmas to all!
Fun fact- Did you know that Santa Claus was shown in different colours earlier!
It was only after a TV commercial showed him in red and white coloured clothes, that this colour combination got so popular. Hence, people across the world started believing that it was the colour of Santa’s clothes.

Ahmedabad July’19 Trip

Ahmedabad 2019 July

Like every year, this year also, we went to Ahmedabad, to visit my Mother side of the family.

We were flying via Delhi So first We went to Delhi from Kathmandu in Air India 🇮🇳. The food 🥘 in the flight ✈️ was ridiculously

served. We got some chow mein in the flight ✈️ for Breakfast 🥞 so we didn’t have any of it

and also it was smelling really bad. Luckily we got some extra food 🥘 and biscuits with us, 🍪 just in

case we don’t get anything to eat.

Once we landed 🛬 in Delhi. We were in transit at the Delhi airport for about 6 hours.

After getting basic airport formalities done, we went to the food court area to eat, as we were starving.

We all ordered whatever we liked in the menu there. For the first time, me and my mom  shared a Lemon 🍋 soda 🥤 drink 🍷. My brother was eating a garlic bread 🥖. Once we all were full, we went in the Kids area for some time and then we just did a bit of shopping 🛍. We then boarded for Ahmedabad

at 4:00pm 🕓. To our misfortune, we got the same foods we got in the morning flight! 🥘  Thankfully we  weren’t hungry so we got saved.

Once we landed 🛬 in Ahmedabad we quickly collected our Baggage 🧳. We got really

Happy 😃 to see that Vallari didi and Kk Mamu  had come to pick us up. He had come in his

Hyundai Creta . They had gotten us a Water Bottle to make sure we

weren’t dehydrated 🥵 as we do have a habit of staying in a cold 🥶 climate, as Kathmandu is usually cold.🥶.

So we finished the whole bottle in the car 🚘 only, as the way was very long. It took us about an hour and a half

hour to reach home.

On the way Kk Mamu also showed us a bus 🚌 stop 🛑 building that had lots of floors and there was a lift inside the Building for the people. And also one lift  for the Buses 🚎!! I found it really amazing.

Once we reached there, we got very excited meeting Nanima, Nanu, Mamijis, Mamus and Vipul. It was a joyous moment.

We chit chatted with everyone as time passed and then we all had Dinner 🍽 and then slept. 🛏

. Nitu mami made us eat very yummy food, we used to go to pick up Vallo didi from the bus stop also with her. Ankit Mamu took us for ice creams and to Karnavati Club. I ordered a dish called Eggs Kejriwal over there but contrary to its exciting name, the dish was awful.

We slept in the room Opposite to my Oldest Mamaji’s room. Our room had a medium bed and a big mattress on the floor. We used the mattress to jump and play.

Vipul had grown 2 years old and he would love to play with all of us.

We were also introduced to

Alexa. The device is a Virtual Assistant developed by Amazon, it is capable of

voice interaction🎙, music playback🎧, making to do lists📃, and also answer your questions❓

On one of the days, We went to Decathlon, a new Sports 🥎 store 🏬 in Ahmedabad. Over there I tried out lots of Cycles 🚵‍♂️, the ground was very

slippery so it was Difficult to put the brakes on Cycle 🚵‍♂️. It was totally a Different Experience cycling 🚵‍♂️ in a slippery ground. I wanted to buy a new Cycle 🚵‍♂️ over there. My mom said it is difficult to carry it from Ahmedabad as we

have to switch planes ✈️. She said “I’ll buy you one in Bangkok cause there is a

direct flight ✈️ from Bangkok to Kathmandu.” I said okay 👌🏾. Laksh learned to play Ludo and used to play a lot of Ludo over there. He would carry around his ludo board in the whole house and played with everyone, who ever agreed to play. We also went to Shots, a top class Gaming

Centre in Ahmedabad. It’s newly opened. Over there there were many fun activities, lots of video games etc and also Go Karting. I really wanted to do Go-Karting but it was for age

16+ so I couldn’t. But I could do Bowling 🎳. I once got a strike rate of nine!! I scored highest of what everyone could do. It was awesome fun!!

I used to do my morning puja with Nanu. He knows so many shlokas and other mantras. Wakes up the earliest in the whole house. Nanima is so fun loving, she cracks lots of jokes, plays with us and get our favourite food home, made.

In Ahmedabad we also got a new car 🚘 called Toyota Glanza .

The car is exactly like Suzuki Baleno but the Interior is much Better. Once we went on a long drive

in the car and the Petrol ⛽️ in the car 🚘 had almost finished. It was in the danger red section. The

people in the car were Kanhaiya Mamaji, Kanupriya Mamiji, Vipul, Laksh and Me. Kk mamu was Driving, I was sitting by his side. There was a Petrol ⛽️ station just near the House but he forgot to take

the turn for the Petrol station ⛽️. We had a lot of fun in the car talking about Driving and our Favourite Sports 🥎.

Finally after some time we reached a Petrol station ⛽️ It was our last evening before we leave Amdavad.

My Moms sister(mausi) also planned to come to Ahmedabad. Me and Kk Mamu went to pick them up from the airport. It was fun on the way I had turned on the Navigation to the Airport so we tried to

follow it up to the Airport.

then as we were all tired 😑 we all slept 🛏. The next morning we had a early flight to catch, so we woke up at 5am and then left for airport. We had the same connection as while coming, Ahmedabad to Delhi to Ktm by Air India 🇮🇳. we landed in Ktm around 5 pm. After an amazing trip,

It was lovely to be back home.

Dadu’ s 60th bday surprise trip!

This year my Grandpa turned 60 years old. My brother Laksh and I lovingly call him Dadu. So we planned a Surprise Holiday to Thailand for him.

Nobody told my Grandpa about the Trip,  not even his friends. The trip was planned by my parents.

Finally the great day arrived. I told my driver to take us to the airport but to my Grandpa I said, “We are going to the office”. But he knew the way to office so I said, “The road we usually take is under construction”.

At the airport he asked why are we at the Airport then he saw that we were in the line to Bangkok. He asked me why were we going to Bangkok and I laughingly replied, “The office is in the Airplane!” We all had Breakfast in the airline Lounge as we were flying Nepal Airlines, which is Nepal’s best airline! We booked an A330-200 but Unfortunately we got an A320-200

and this A320-200 had none of the Business Class features. We were very dissapointed by that .

Finally we reached Bangkok.

To get to the Hotel in Bangkok we got an option of taxis we could take, they were

Mercedes E300 or BMW luxury sedan or Isuzu MUX or Toyota Commuter. We took a ToyotaCommuter. As soon as we left from the Airport it started to rain. We got a Welcome to the land of

rains. On the way I saw some cool cars, I saw a Porsche Cayenne that had a cool Neon dark blue

Polishing job. In Kathmandu even if there are some water puddles we still don’t splash them by

the cars. And in Bangkok without any puddles there was water flying everywhere and the reason

to that is because the cars were going really fast at about a speed set  of  120 km per hour.

We reached about an hour after. We were all very tired as we reached the FANTASTIC Hotel. It

took a long time to check in. Finally we got our rooms and then we were just regularly talking

about our day and stuff and the FINAL moment of SURPRISE came as all of our buas, fufus

and their kids came and hugged us all. This was one of the best moments of the whole Trip. Dadu was very happy to see everyone as he had no idea of them joining us.

Then we had Dinner in our rooms only. Everyone had got so much to eat so we didn’t order

anything from the Hotel. We had cups of noodles, Maggi  with some Horlick and partied for

a long time. It was too much fun. Then in the morning we woke up early at about 6:30 and everyone got

ready and had breakfast. We were flying to Krabi today. To reach the Don Meaung airport we just had to go across the road from the hotel on a overbridge.

we were going to Krabi by a funny airline called Nok air and this airline has a ducks

mouth painted on its front. It looked like a kids flight. We all saw Phuket as we were flying in the Aeroplane,we also saw lots of Beaches.

The ride to Krabi was fun. We landed in Krabi an hour after. As we were landing we saw a lot of greenery

in the city below.

To go to the Resort we had to go by boats as it was on an Island as it had only one point entry.

We again chose Toyota Commuters to reach the Centara

Grand Pickup point.

On the way it again started to rain 🌧 which made the ride much more fun.

When we reached we saw a Floating Bridge on the pier of the Boat so we would hold hands

and cross the bridge, the bridge would shake a lot and when the Waves were coming we used to

be standing still so that we wouldn’t fall. My Father said that if you think you’re about to fall just sit

down and then you’ll be able to maintain your balance. When we came in the Resort it again took

a long time to check in, we then went to our rooms and then we saw a booklet that had Centara

Grand Resorts map so it was easy for us to see if we needed the buggy or we could just walk to

that place. There was also an E-zone in that there was a PS4 🎮and two X-Boxes too. 🎮Only I could

go in the E-zone because it was for 9-17 years old but I didn’t go in there because there was no

one else that could go in with me. In addition to this, all it would do is damage your eyes. First we

went and saw everyone else’s rooms and then settled in to our own. We had an option to choose

which floor we would like to go in. We needed 4 rooms. We booked 2 on the 2nd floor and 2

on the 3rd floor. The people on the 3rd floor were Me, My parents, My little brother and My

Grandparents. My Grandparents were in one room and we four were on the other room. On the

2nd floor were My Buas &my fufus and my other little brothers & sister.

First day we all relaxed

and explored the Resort a bit. The next day it was my Grandpas Birthday. Next morning We wore matching tshirts happy bday written on it and cool 60th bday quotes on the back of it. We all wished him together. He was very excited to see us in matching tshirts.

After that we went on a

Speed Boat to four Islands where we could swim in the sea by the beach!! we were made to wear Life

Jackets, there was also a danger line that told us it was super deep, it was the real sea. On the

first Island there was a beach, on the second there was another beach, on the third it was

something even better. The boat driver took us to the Ko Hong Island it was almost like a secret

hideout on the sea and the entrance was very narrow. The boat driver also told us that when the

tide is low over here there is no water and boats often get stuck in the Island. We also swam in the

shallow sea. We also went on an Island that had white sand on the beach. When we were

climbing on the floating bridge there was a big wave that pulled my grandmas foot under the

stairs to the bridge. Then another big wave came, when my grandma pulled her leg out, it was very swollen.

We found a dead coral that we wanted to take but then the people over there

took it from my fathers hand and then he showed him that there was a poster saying no collecting

Shells 🐚 or corals. We then went on the speed boat 🚤 and luckily there was a box of ice that

got the swelling a bit better on my grandmas foot 🦶. On the Resort we took my grandma to the

nurse 👩‍⚕️ and she checked it. She said it’s okay just rest. My mother also collected recorded

video Birthday wishes from the whole family 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦. Dadu got emotional looking at the videos.

The next day we all went swimming 🏊‍♂️ in the

Resort except for my grandma, who got hurt on her foot 🦶. The water wasn’t too deep it was

1.40m that’s not so deep. I could swim 🏊‍♂️ easily. There was also a water slide on the pool. The

Water slide was awesome it was so slippery and fast 💨 I wanted to have a go at the Water 💦

Slide without my father catching me but he said it could be dangerous.

We swam for a very long time almost until evening then we came and rested ⛱and relaxed.🎧

We also had another big party 🎉 at night. We were also listening to music 🎵 from my fathers

Speaker 🔊 it was awesome 😎 and we slept 🛏 late at night. The next morning we left the

Rooms had breakfast 🥞 and left the resort this was our last bobbing ride in the speed boat 🚤

So we all had fun on the half an hour route by boats 🚤. We all had an awesome 😎 time in the

Resort.

We then reached the pickup point once again and then left for the airport.

We also had an Ice cream 🍦 from Kwality Walls called Cola 🍹Candy 🍭 in there. It was awesome 😎.

We then Boarded for Bangkok. We went in the same airline, Nok air. We had fun in the flight ✈️

too. When we landed 🛬 in Bangkok, My younger fufu Bua left for their flight ✈️ to Yangon. We bid them bye.

Me, my parents, my grandparents, my two brothers , Bua ,fufu and sister came along

with us to our hotel 🏨 in Bangkok. We went in a luxury Toyota Van that had disco lights 🥁🎤🎺🎸

and it also had reclining seats 🛋.

It also had a TV 🖥💻 and also

curtains on the

window. But the engine was very low so it kept touching the speed breakers and there was a

creaking noise every time there was a speed breaker. Finally we reached the Hotel 🏨  Centara

Grand Convention and CentralWorld Bangkok, we stayed on the 35th floor! highest floor I have ever stayed on!

We all were very hungry 😋 so we went to have food at the

Pizza 🍕 Company restaurant in CentralWorld. After a heavy diet, we all slept for some time and

then when we woke up, we had Dinner.🥘 In Dinner we had Dal Makhani, Paneer Butter Masala

and Laccha Paratha. We got an Indian chef at the restaurant. Food was too yummy.

The next day we went to CentralWorld and over there

we did some shopping 🛍 and had pizza 🍕 at pizza 🍕 company and then carried on shopping 🛍 🛒. The next day we went to the Ocean 🌊 World 🌍 in Siam Paragon mall, it was just across

the road so we went by a Tuk-Turk in to the parking lot of Siam paragon mall🏢. Over there we

saw lots of sea 🌊 animals, we saw 🐙 🐠 🐋 🦈 🦀 🐊 🦞 🦐 🐍 🦂 🐬 🐟 they were

Octopus, Green and Blue fish, baby whale, Adult Dolphin, Giant Spider Crab, Alligator, Lobsters,

Krill, Python, Brown Lobsters, Baby Dolphin, Blue fish. We also had a ticket 🎫 to a 4D 7 minute

Movie of Sponge bob Square Pants the great jelly rescue. We also had a ticket 🎫 to a glass

bottom boat 🚣‍♀️. That was a boat that’s bottom was made of glass. So we could see sea 🌊

animals swimming under us. We also saw a Sent Tiger Shark. It was too much fun and a greater joy to enjoy this with my grand parents. They also loved the experience.

The next day we left Bangkok and returned back to Kathmandu in my favourite Nepal Airlines 🇳🇵Business Class A330-200 .

it was an awesome trip😎
